Brooks Computer Solutions — Cancellations, Returns, Refunds & Warranty Policy

1. Services (Call-Outs, Repairs, On-Site Visits)

Booking:
By booking a service appointment with us, you agree to our cancellation terms.

Cancellation:

  • You may cancel or reschedule a booked service up to 24 hours before the appointment at no charge.

  • If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, or are unavailable at the agreed time, we reserve the right to charge a fee equal to our minimum call-out rate to cover our time and costs.

Completed Services:
Once a service has been fully carried out (e.g. a repair or setup completed), it cannot be cancelled and is non-refundable.

2. Goods (New and Second-User Items)

Right to Cancel (Distance Sales):
If you buy goods (without an installation service) via our website, by phone or by email, you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods, provided they are unused and in the original packaging.

Exclusions:

  • Goods supplied as part of a personalised installation, custom build or bespoke configuration cannot be cancelled once opened, installed or personalised.

  • Software licences, opened software packaging, and goods that deteriorate rapidly are non-returnable unless faulty.

3. Returns & Refunds

How to Cancel:
To exercise your right to cancel an order for goods within 14 days, please email us at web@brookscomputers.uk with clear details of your order.

Returning Goods:

  • You are responsible for the cost and risk of returning goods.

  • Return items to:
    Brooks Computer Solutions, 32 Sisley Avenue, Stapleford, Nottingham, NG9 7HT.

  • We recommend insured and trackable shipping, as refunds cannot be processed without receipt of the returned goods.

Refunds:

  • Refunds will be issued within 14 days of us receiving the returned goods, using your original payment method.

  • If goods show signs of use or damage, we may reduce the refund to reflect the loss in value.

4. Warranties

Services:
All services (e.g. repairs, call-outs) are covered by a 30-day workmanship warranty from the date the work is completed.

Hardware Repairs & Upgrades:
All hardware repairs and upgrades come with a 12-month warranty covering parts and labour.

Second-User Hardware:
All second-user (pre-owned) hardware we supply is covered by a 12-month warranty, unless otherwise specified in writing.
