Brooks Computer Solutions — Terms and Conditions of Sale
1. About Us
Brooks Computer Solutions provides IT services and hardware to home users and businesses in the UK.
2. Quotes and Orders
All quotes are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.
By accepting a quote or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
We reserve the right to refuse any order at our discretion.
3. Pricing and Payment
All prices include VAT where applicable.
Payment is due on completion of work, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
For hardware or special orders, a deposit may be required.
Late payments may incur interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
4. Delivery of Services and Goods
We aim to complete all services within agreed timescales, but timeframes are estimates and not guaranteed.
Any hardware supplied remains the property of Brooks Computer Solutions until paid for in full.
Risk passes to the customer on delivery or collection.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
Services: You may cancel or reschedule a service appointment up to 24 hours in advance without charge. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a fee equal to the minimum call-out rate. Once a service has been fully provided, it is non-refundable.
Goods: If you purchase goods without an installation or setup service, you may cancel within 14 days of delivery, provided the goods are unused and in original packaging. Goods supplied as part of a bespoke setup or custom installation cannot be cancelled once opened, installed, or personalised. Faulty goods may be returned for repair, replacement, or refund in line with statutory rights.
You are responsible for the cost and risk of returning goods.
6. Warranty and Liability
All services (call-outs, repairs) are guaranteed for 30 days from the date of completion.
Hardware repairs, upgrades, and second-user hardware are covered by a 12-month warranty.
Hardware manufacturer warranties apply where relevant.
We are not liable for indirect losses, loss of data, or business interruption resulting from our services.
7. Data Protection and Privacy
We handle customer data in compliance with UK GDPR.
By using our services, you consent to us processing your data as needed to fulfil our work.
8. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law. Any disputes shall be resolved by the courts of England and Wales.
